The Great Flood of 2016 brought more rain than the drains could move and the land could absorb. We all know that tens of thousands of people were pushed out of their flooded homes.
Wanting to help their employees, about 80 companies and government agencies established emergency assistance accounts with Employees 1st. They put money int he accounts and asked others, such as vendors, to contribute too. Employees 1st did the rest, from managing applications for assistance to making sure the grants were made quickly to the employees.
The main goal is to help people who need it. There are other benefits when companies open an Employees 1st account. Contributions tot he accounts are tax deductible to the companies and to the employees receiving the grants.
In total, Employees 1st mage more than $7 million in grants for reliefs after the floods.
